Women's Merrell Siren Sport GTX XCR

I have been wearing the Siren for over three years now and absolutely love them. I am getting ready to get another pair (my dog chewed up my current pair). I found that the life expectancy improved greatly with SuperFeet (FYI). While I typically use them for an every day shoe, the great traction on the Vibram sole has enabled me to use them on a couple of light backpacking trips. I have a bit of a wide toe box and my toes have just the right amount of wiggle room. Overall, a real nice shoe. The only problem I have ever noticed was that they can be a little slippery on the ice - more so than some other shoes I wear to/from skiing.

I LOVE THIS SHOE!!! I work for a retail greenhouse & nursery with all concrete walk ways through the retail & growing houses. I am on my feet on concrete all day at work 8-10 hrs. a day non-stop walking at a rapid pace and jogging. Some of the walk ways have slime & moss or dirt on them and the traction is great. Then when I get home I take my dog for a mile walk on concrete and trails everyday in the same shoe. My feet never hurt and are never tired with this shoe. I have had many different Merrell shoes, cross-trainers and hiking boots and this is the most comfortable by far. Right out of the box into an 8 hr. shift they were perfect, no braking in or anything. I will definitely be buying another pair.

This is the first time I spent a good amount of money on non dress shoes and it paid off! I couldn't be happier. Plain disc golf puts you in rain, mud, snow, etc... you name it we play in it. This is the first time that my feet were the only thing on me dry! My next pair of outdoor shoes will definitely be merrells!

I purchased these to take on our trip to Peru and for a short hike of the Inca Trail up to Machu Picchu. I wore them around the house before our trip and the stitching on the inside of the shoe would irriate me when I wore socks with seams near the toes. So I highly recommend wearing good seamless socks while wearing these shoes. I would also recommend them for paved or dirt paths. We hiked 8 miles of the Inca trails which was mostly paved with stones of all shapes and sized. The soles are just not thick enough and sturdy enough to provide enough support and protection for long walks on jagged rocks. But overall, they are extremely comfortable, very light weight and I lived in them for 6 days while in Peru with no discomfort at all - but I always wore seamless socks!!!
