    • 4 out of 5 These boots have lots of room and are very comfortable. I advise one to go up half a size for maximum comfort

    • 5 out of 5 I bought these boots last minute before a day hiking trip and I was very hesitant because: A) I've never had these boots in the past B) I wasn't able to wear them in before a hike C) they're expensive I had even gone to all the sporting goods stores in the area and tried on every pair of hiking boots and these were by far the most comfortable and felt the most secure. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they performed during the hike. They kept my feet dry when we trekked through water, held a good grip when we climbed up the side of a cliff and the whole time my feet didn't feel tired or strained. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to go hiking.

    • 4 out of 5 I am an avid hiker who hikes every weekend as well as short hikes on weekdays. I have been wearing Asolo boots and find them quite comfortable and protective, but wanted to try a lighter boot to see whether it would be better for longer distance day hikes. I agree with several reviewers that these boots are so comfortable that I don't feel like taking them off after a day's hiking...I forget. And when I'm going on a day outing that will not involve hiking but I want to throw in a pair of walking shoes in the car in case we go walking around, I'm more inclined to want to use these Keens than tennis shoes...they are just as light and more comfortable. I wore them in light rain and crossing creeks without water coming in. The grip of the tread is good on loose gravel and on steep inclines. They are not hot. The laces grip very well and do not loosen while hiking in the hooks at the top. I think others had complained of the laces coming untied, but I have been on 17 mile hikes a few times with them, without them coming undone or loosening at all. The roominess in the toe box is great. I have a very narrow heel (my regular shoe size is 10 AAA) and my foot doesn't slide forward in these. I usually use Superfeet insoles, but have not yet put them in these boots and they have been comfortable for about 250 miles so far. I definitely recommend them. At the same time they're quite comfortable, they are not too soft or cushy, and do not allow the foot to roll. The only change I would like to see in them is a little bit higher top. I often have close encounters with rattlesnakes while hiking and like a higher top boot for more protection.

    • 3 out of 5 I am a landscaper which means working outside in all conditions. Within a week of purchase I was in the rain and these boots cannot be called waterproof by any means. I would say perhaps they are water resistant, but that's not much of a compliment. They are comfortable but if I wanted that I would just buy any boot. Wouldn't recommend this boot.

    • 5 out of 5 The Keen boots were a great investment for my trip. Didn't have a lot of time to break them in but they were so comfortable. We did an extreme amount of hiking and I was glad I made the purchase. Even put them to the test in hiking thru snow.
