Enjoy a day out on the rugged trails in these women's Columbia Master of Faster shoes. These shoes are designed to allow the wearer to move quickly over any terrain, no matter how rocky or rough. They feature a closed mesh upper with welded seam technology, which offers strong support as well as comfort. The midsole is made from three parts and allows for great cushioning. These shoes also include a heel cup made from Techlite and an internal TPU shank for unparalleled control of ankle torsion. These shoes do not skimp on the outsoles, either, with a high traction compound that remains functional in any conditions.

About Columbia
- Starting as the hat manufacturer, Columbia has gone from a small mom-and-pop shop to a global company. A recently-immigrated German couple bought the business in 1938. After their daughter Gert Boyle took over, Columbia began to build more and more outdoor gear products. In 1993, its outdoor footwear line was launched. Soon enough, people were talking about Columbia, and it was more than about its hats and parkas. Its hiking boots and shoes are perfect for the avid sportsman. Great Hiking Shoe

For the last 3-4 years I've been hiking in The North Face Hedgehog's. I like the mobility and flexibility of a low, and this shoe has been a great replacement for the Hedgehog. The pattern on the sole promotes great traction, and even when hiking in several inches of snow, these things kept my feet warm, protected, and prevented a lot of slipping.

Overall these are some pretty stylish hiking shoes that I can wear rain days (and not carry rain boots too) or for the occasional camping trip. If they hold up, the price won't be so bad in the long term. Fingers crossed. Key points 100x better than rain boots to bike/walk in. Breathable but not as much as you might be lead to believe. Hot feet may occur. Light, but not exactly streamlined. Overall bigger than I am used to and the heal is rather large so boot cut or shorts would look best. Great water protection provided your rain pants have some ankle overlap. Mine are a tad short and only the top half inch of my ankle socks got wet. Way better than I hoped for.

This is my first pair of Columbias. One of the best shoes I've ever bought. I'm in the pool service business and my feet are wet all the time. These keep my feet dry all day. They are very comfortable.I put my shoes through a lot of torture every day. After 1 month they still look great and don't smell over time. Worth every penny. Also they have a rich look to them. Well constructed also. 5 star all the way!

The concept of this shoe is very cool; however, it HURTS my ankles and heels. The tongue and the back are really stiff so they rubbed the skin off both my ankles and heels. In my opinion, running or trail shoes should be ready to run in without having to break them in. I really like the fact that they are water resistant yet allows your feet to breath. They really do have great grip! I tend to run at a gym but I also have dogs and they like run so I need all the grip I can get. These are nice shoes if you run trails and if you don’t mind breaking them in.
