Like but not love

I use these boots for walking on trails through hilly areas. Average walk time 3 hours per stint. Also wear to work when i'm on my feet all day. Worn for 3 months.
Great - fairly lightweight, very comfortable, decent support, good traction on steep hills, flexible, breathable.
Not so great - logos of manufacturer and the materials all over the outside bug me. The Logos / stamps are: Vibram, Northface (on tongue and toe), Goretex, Healcradle. C'mon - are these boots or billboards?
Have NOT tested water resistance.

I was excited to order Hiking boots for the first time from TNF.Ive ordered 3 pairs of Trail shoes and been impressed with the comfort and durabilty.. The new boots are lightweight and have great ankle support(i have a problem with one ankle due to past injury) You cant really get better stability in such a lightweight boot anywhere else ..The laces are alittle to long so double tie them to prevent unwanted stops. I carry a lightweight backback(around 25lbs) and these boots make me feel like i can run in them! I only have two issues with these boots.First, while breaking them in i seem to have a pinch point at my toes on one foot(left) and it took several miles to resolve. Second,when fully soaked they dont shed water very well and stay heavy for along time...Overall,these are lightweight well built boots and id buy them agian

The big question: Is it waterproof?
My answer: Yes! After 3 months in conditions ranging from rainstorms, sloppy mud paths, and snow - my feet have yet to become wet or cold.
I *love* the ride of these boots - the heels touch down so softly - especially compared to similar boots in the store. They feel super-light like running shoes, yet are as durable as a boot should be. The traction is excellent - holding solidly to steep rocky surfaces as well as snow-covered or muddy surfaces. And my feet remained remarkably warm, even when the rest of me was freezing. I would recommend these for any travel involving rugged hiking or even urban walking.
