DESCRIPTION
Hike your way into a lean, mean pair of men's Keen Oregon PCT boots. These boots are featherweights, weighing only 24 oz, and with forefoot torsion bars for plate flexibility, you can hike for miles in comfort. Of course, keeping your feet dry is just as important as keeping them comfortable, which is why these boots boast a waterproof membrane and a moisture-wicking lining. During your hike, rest assured your boots always stay secure on your feet because of their heel lockdown webbing strap. When you get to back to camp at the end of the day, take off your boots quickly thanks to their speed-lacing hooks. Invest in the ultimate Keen hiker, and rely on the Oregon PCT to blaze your own trail.

Great purchase
Customer Rating
Received these boots 3 days before a 3 day backpack trip along the Pacific Coast. Needless to say, no break in time, unless you count 30 minutes on my treadmill with no weight on my back. They performed fantastically- no blisters, no hot spots and extremely comfortable-whether hiking alont the beach or on the trail in the rainforest of Olympic Natl Park. Can't wait to use them again.
Not Waterproof
Customer Rating
I too, found my right boot leaked and a lot more than than the left. During a rare down pour here in southern NV., I was five miles from camp with hail and rain, by the time I got back, my right foot was pretty wet and the left boot was letting in some water. I ended up spraying the heck out of them with Nikwax. I have a pair of Vasque Breeze's that have never let water in.
Second, the boots don't breathe very well, kind of hot for desert hiking.
The Good News:
Break-in took no time at all, large toe box doesn't crush your toes. Excellent support and light weight.
I'll still use them, but not in the rain.
best of class

Best fit of any light weight hiker I've tried, and I've gone through a bunch of them in the last few years. Exellent arch, snug heel, roomy toe box, and the perfect combination of flexibility and support. The heel strap thing really works. The front laces are moderatly hard to snug but thats minor. I'd prefer more aggressive lugs on the sole but they're as good or better than anything short of a heavy backpacker.
Keen didn't do like the other brands that try to make a combination hiker/street shoe and end up with a boot that's good for niether. This is a real hiking boot that seems like it will be good for anything short of moraines and shale with a 50lb plus load. I'd love to see an all leather backpacking boot with an aggressive sole and the same fit.
