Very Well Made, and Stiff

Very well made boots, the uppers and outsoles especially, it's like fine-grain leather on a double-outsole. Warm at 200 grams (too warm for inside) and waterproof too, you just don't see this kind of construction in a 6" boot under $80-$100, so they should last at least a couple of years. However they are VERY stiff and quite snug. I bought them a size large (can't find them in wide), worn them over 3 weeks now everyday and they're still not broken-in. Also you have to be careful when you lace them up or the top eyehooks will dig into ankles. They don't have to fit loose but the tongue should sit just inside the lacing. I buy them a size larger to fit my arch-supports inside, and even then they still need extra pads. When they break in and if they hold up they'll rate a "5" but until then it's just a "4", good value at this price.
